About Dentistry...What we do here.

Eighty percent of our dental practice consists of treating 14 month old to six year children. The average being a three year old with 10 restorations and 5 baby root canals.

Typically toddlers ( 14 months to 3 years old ) require dental treatment because they fall asleep with a bottle, on a breast, or they are breast fed on demand. These children get cavities on their front teeth.

Three to five year old children require dental treatment because they have cavities on back teeth. Cavities on the back teeth start either in the grooves on top of a tooth or between the teeth. ( A dental examination is not complete if x-rays are not taken )

Front teeth fall out at age six or seven. Back teeth fall out at age 12 or 13.

Lossing front teeth too early does not have long term consequences on the permanent teeth.
Lossing back teeth too early does have long term consequences on the permanent teeth.

The following slide presentations show how and when front and back teeth are fixed or removed.
